Azithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat chlamydia.
Take 2 azithromycin 500 mg tablets as directed with a glass of water. It is important to take both the tablets together at the same time. You can take them with or without food.
Tell your pharmacist or doctor about all medicines or treatments that you may be taking, including vitamins, herbal products or recreational drugs.
Most people do not notice any side effects when taking azithromycin for chlamydia.
