lee-voe-doe-pa and ben-seer-ah-zide
Levodopa and benserazide is used to treat Parkinson’s disease, and sometimes other conditions. Levodopa changes into dopamine in your body. Dopamine helps your brain control your body movements. Benserazide helps get more levodopa into your brain.
Take levodopa and benserazide regularly as directed with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food.
Capsule: Swallow whole - do not crush or chew.
Dispersable tablet: You can either swallow the tablets whole, or dissolve them in a glass of water before taking.
Do not stop taking levodopa and benserazide suddenly without talking to your doctor first.
If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the usual time. Otherwise, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Do not take two doses at the same time.
