LOLA is used to reduce confusion caused by liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy). It reduces the amount of ammonia (a toxin) in your body.
Take LOLA regularly as directed. Mix the contents of the sachet(s) in a glass of water, tea or juice and then swallow the liquid.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and carry on as normal. Do not take two doses at the same time.
Tell your pharmacist or doctor about all medicines or treatments that you may be taking, including vitamins, herbal products or recreational drugs.
LOLA is unlikely to cause any side effects. If you notice any symptoms you are concerned about, discuss them with your doctor or pharmacist.
